About me

I am a marine microbiologist interested in the genomic, metabolic, and physiological diversity of microorganisms and how this diversity impacts ecological interactions and ocean processes. I use a combination of cultivation, time-series observations, omics, and computational approaches to explore these topics.

Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Meren Lab at the Marine Biological Laboratory, supported by the Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship in Marine Microbial Ecology. I am using computational methods to examine the response of ocean microbes to environmental change.

I enjoy using science as a vehicle to build relationships and community. I strive to make science more accessible through effective communication, reproducible workflows, teaching and mentorship, and advocacy.

Besides nerding out on science, I love hiking, swimming, travel, and scuba diving.
